Become A Volunteer

Volunteers are the beating heart of our organisation, they deliver our helpline and email support services, contribute to decision-making, support our activism, help our campaigning, promote our publicity and fundraise for us.

We are looking to grow our team of dedicated volunteers and are looking for women who represent our diverse community to join our team. No previous experience is needed, as training is provided, we just ask for passion and commitment!

What Do Volunteers Do?

The main role of volunteers is to provide support to survivors of sexual abuse through our telephone helpline and Email Support Service.

Helpline and email support is provided from either our Exeter or Torquay offices. Volunteers are required to cover two helpline sessions a month and attend a monthly volunteer meeting, for supervision and development held in Exeter on a Tuesday or Thursday evening.

Full training is provided and the training programme, accredited by OCN London, runs over a 6 month period. More information on volunteer training can be found on our training page.

This is a rewarding volunteering opportunity for an organisation that provides high quality support services. As well as the accredited training, there will be continual training opportunities and the chance to join in and represent the organisation at events.
