Hello my name is Hattie I am the Specialist Project Worker with Devon Rape Crisis and Sexual Abuse Service. Before joining the staff team in June 2020 I volunteered for DRCSAS mainly covering the helpline and helping out at events.
For the last nine years I have been working in Drug and Alcohol treatment in Devon, working with people one to one and also running a peer support alcohol group. I very much enjoyed working in this sector as I found it challenging but also extremely rewarding.
In my role as Specialist Project Worker with DRCSAS I undertake all the initial assessments and also facilitate the women’s trauma skills group.
I am delighted to be working for an organisation that supports women to recognise their strengths and skills and in doing this enabling them to lead better and happier lives.
I consider myself a feminist, I support equality and am proud to be working for a feminist organisation, with like-minded women who hold similar views and values.
