Linda Regan MBE

Linda, Trustee

Linda was one of the women who developed and founded DRCSAS. She became Chair of the Board of Trustees shortly after DRCSAS started delivering services in 2011.

Before retiring, Linda was a Senior Research Officer and Lecturer at the Child & Woman Abuse Studies Unit, London Metropolitan University, where she had been based since 1989.

She was a special advisor to the British Council on violence against women, and provided consultancy to both statutory and voluntary sector organisations in a number of countries on policy and project development and research methodology.

Although retired, she continues to do small project work for local organisations such as the Peninsula Women’s Alliance, Women’s Centre Cornwall and CoLab Exeter, and is an Independent Advisor to Devon & Cornwall Police on VAWG. Within the community, Linda is involved with a Devon based feminist group, a group aimed at reducing isolation of older lesbians in the south west, and is active in local politics.
