Hi, I’m Lindsey and I have joined DRCSAS as the Direct Support Team Leader. I’m excited and feel privileged to work for an incredible organisation that supports women in finding their strength, building their resilience and empowering them to lead healthier lives.
My background has been varied, including teaching, safeguarding young people and becoming a pastoral leader in a secondary school. All this experience ignited my passion in developing my own knowledge and understanding in how sexual violence and abuse can impact lives.
I qualified as a counsellor and went on to support people who have experienced abuse – I believe that by educating and supporting survivors of sexual trauma with compassion, integrity and in a safe space can be a crucial part of their journey towards recovery. I’m looking forward to working with what is an already great service here at DRCSAS and being part of making a difference to people’s lives.
