Helpline: 01392 204 174

Women volunteers in North Devon are needed to represent our diverse community, including women who are disabled, from all ethnic backgrounds, lesbians and bisexuals and of all ages. Devon RCS offers free and confidential support to women in Devon who have experienced rape or sexual violence, now or in the past.

All volunteers will provide support on the telephone helpline and for the Email Support Service in Barnstaple and there is also the possibility of carrying out face to face support in the area where they live. They will also need to attend the volunteer meetings which take place once a month in Exeter. The training is accredited by Apt Awards and will take place in April and May, including a residential weekend.

Deadline for applications is Friday 20th March and interviews will take place on Tuesday 31st March and Wednesday 1st April in Exeter. What People Say About Us

"I think EMDR has allowed me to process things far more than I was expecting, it was more effective than I was anticipating and I was surprised at how much different I felt after having it."

Service User

"DRCSAS has made a massive difference, I feel I have found myself – no longer just focused on what happened to me. I deal with things so much better and have a positive outlook on life that wouldn't have happened without DRCSAS."

Service User

"I feel positive about the future, being able to control my thoughts and emotions rather than them controlling me. I was sceptical at first wondering if it would work but I am amazed at the results. Would definitely recommend to anyone"
