Face To Face Support

Devon Rape Crisis Service face to face support service for women

DRCS offers the time and space for you to express your feelings about rape or other sexual violence that has happened at any time in your life. DRCS is not a counselling service. We offer a safe women-only space for you to express these feelings, and whilst we cannot ‘make it all better’ we will listen and believe and never judge you. We feel that survivors have their own answers and hope to empower you to find your own way, in your own time. We hope you will find this helpful as you try to cope with the pain and hurt of sexual violence.

Our service is delivered by volunteers. All our volunteers are experienced in working with women who have survived different forms of rape or sexual abuse at different times in their lives. They all take part in our Understanding Sexual Violence training programme which leaves them self aware, knowledgeable, non judgemental and with a great insight in the effects and coping mechanisms of female survivors.

For more information you can contact our helpline on 01392 204174 and speak to one of our volunteers. If you are an an agency and a woman who you are working with would like you to refer her to this service please e-mail info@devonrapecrisis.org.uk for more information.

It can be really difficult coming to a new place and therefore we have taken a few photos of our office and one to one room, so you have an idea of what to expect.
